As a Power BI Developer with this business, you will be responsible for working directly with the end clients to understand what reports they want/need and then work with the wider team to build out high quality Power BI reports. You will be connecting to a wide variety of data sources and will work on many different data sets.
Prior Power BI development experience from within an financial organisation
- 4-8 years of Power BI experience, alongside DAX and SQL
- Experience with data sources including CSV, SQL, SharePoint, Excel and Azure Synapse.
- Understanding of SQL Data Warehousing and data modelling.
- Excellent Data Visualization skills using Power BI desktop.
- Understanding of the data lifecycle in a business, ability to source and aggregate data where required.
- Good understanding of Power BI tool and capabilities.
- Solid understanding of Power BI security models and deployment techniques.
To stand out from the crowd you will have:
- Operated in an insurance organisation.
- Have demonstrable experience of working with end users and gathering reporting requirements.
- Experience with MS Azure (ADF/ Data Lake)
- Knowledge of Power Automate
- Knowledge of Python
- Portfolio of example reports that you have developed.
