As I wrap up my first month at Coeo, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an exciting, fast-paced, and genuinely rewarding start to this new chapter.
From day one, I’ve been blown away by the team culture here. Coeo is full of talented professionals and a community of people genuinely caring about each other’s success. There’s no rigid hierarchy for the sake of it, just a flat, open, and collaborative environment where everyone is approachable, from new joiners like myself to the C-suite team.
Speaking of leadership, one of the things that has stood out the most is how plugged in and hands-on our senior team is. The CEO, CTO, and leadership team don’t just set the vision from a distance they’re in the trenches with us, working alongside the team to push the business forward. It’s inspiring to see a company where leadership is about action, not just words.
My Manager James Ryder has also played a huge part in making my first month so positive. He has struck the perfect balance, giving me the autonomy to learn on the job while also providing support and guidance when needed. It’s that “arm around the shoulder” approach, coupled with a safety net, that makes stepping outside my comfort zone feel exciting rather than daunting.
Of course, my first month has been packed with all the usual onboarding activities, meeting as many people as possible, deep-dive learning sessions, and, of course, a few drinks with the team! But one of the real highlights was the opportunity to travel to Dublin with CEO, Justin, CTO James Boother, and fellow Account Manager, Andrew Whalley. While there, I met my Microsoft contacts, aligned on strategy, and even received the same training as the Microsoft team, a fantastic opportunity to get fully embedded in our partnership and understand the road ahead.
Now, with my first month behind me, I’m rolling up my sleeves and getting stuck into my book of business. I feel invigorated and excited about what’s to come and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together at Coeo.
